TIMELINE
The first person you should talk to about establishing a timeline is your photographer. Depending on your personal preferences, and ceremony start time, they will help you decide on a good time to be finished with hair and makeup and getting into your dress. From there, we can talk about when I should start styling hair! I do require 45 minutes with each client; although, it is even better if I can have an hour with the bride. If you have a large bridal party, or do not want to start early in the morning, you may consider hiring a second hairstylist.
SECOND STYLIST
The amount of clients I am able to service will depend on your timeline. I require at last 45 minutes with each client. I of course would love to work with everyone wanting to have their hair styled but if you have a tight timeline, and more clients than I am able to work with, feel free to hire a second stylist. I have a list of recommended stylists here.
MAKEUP
I no longer provide makeup services but have a list of recommended artists here.
HAIR TRIAL
I recommend scheduling your bridal hair trial one to three months before your wedding day. Trials are recommended so I can get to know your hair before your wedding day! They are scheduled for two hours and include one style. If you would like to try more than one style, there will be an additional charge. Please let me know ahead of time so I can adjust my schedule accordingly. I host a "trial day" one Friday a month where I schedule multiple brides to come in. I reach out to my brides months before their wedding day to provide them with the trial appointment dates and times that are available.
Hair trials for individuals who are not the bride cost $100 and do require a scheduled appointment.
Trials take place at Kathryn's Bridal Bar in Indy.
TRAVEL FEES
I charge .80/mile to and from the getting ready location starting from my home in Plainfield, IN.
PAYMENT
I do require a booking fee of $100. This reserves your wedding date and does go towards your total charges. Your balance is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding date.
DIRTY HAIR
Every client must have clean, dry hair! I prefer to work with a clean canvas that I can add the appropriate products to. Working with clean hair will ensure that your style lasts throughout the night.
GLAM WAVES/HOLLYWOOD WAVES
It takes a lot of time to achieve this look. If you are wanting this as your bridal style please let me know ahead of time. I will not be able to create a prefect glam wave/hollywood wave style for bridesmaids on the day of, but would be willing to do something less structured and time consuming.
